This week we’ve thrown out some controversial baby/birthing questions and topics and i must say i’m impressed by the response. I am surprised by some of the responses, but this is why we talk about these issues to get people to think for themselves. I’m saying don’t be a lemming and do your own research, you’ll be happy you did.
Some topics of the week were:
How do babies know when their due date is?
Why do women give birth laying on their backs?
What is the pitocin/epidural cycle good for?
Should pregnant women get the flu shot?
What are babies missing when they’re born?
We received a response from someone from my high school that we haven’t spoken in well over a decade and she shared her story and opinion on birthing her kids. i thank her for sharing because those stories are personal. we found out she did as much of a natural birth as possible because she did her research and understood the benefits (there are many).
another reponse was from a friend i went to college with, again hadn’t spoken in years, and found out she supports birthing on her back with her legs in the air. it is a choice and many women give birth while on their back. before my wife looked into birthing options that’s how she saw birth happening. our movies, tv, media and community show and protray this as normal…look at the anatomy of the body, does that make it easier or more difficult?
How is the sacrum curved? is it easier to lay on your back or use gravity to help? must ask questions.
they tell pregnant women to stay away from eating seafood, specifically fish…why? because of the mercury in the fish. YET they say women need the flu shot which has Thimerosal (mercury based preservative) to inject directly into their veins…makes sense to me..
i ask everyone to think for themselves and do your own research. ask why…
thank you for reading and using your brain!
