They’re Just Words
They’re just words…
Our language is amazing and think about how we can communicate with others. Not only can we talk over wireless cell phones, we text, email, tweet, Facebook…communication is constant and everywhere around us. The question is, how well do we communicate?
Last night we were honored by Dr. Eric McKillican’s talk at our EPOC Nebraska. He spoke about words in life and Chiropractic and got me thinking about how we communicate. Chiropractic thoughts – Do people really want to be “cracked” or “manipulated?” Or do they not know they need to be “adjusted.” When people say they love chocolate…is it the same love as a spouse? All words have underlying meanings and we need to choose our words carefully. Too many people are on Facebook/twitter/texting words they don’t mean. We shouldn’t have to weed through to find the truth, it benefits all of us.
I’m asking everyone to think about the words they use this holiday season. When you say thank you to someone, look them in the eye and speak to their soul. They will feel it. When you say “i love you,” speak from your heart to another’s heart. They will feel it. When we give an adjustment, the intent is pure to remove that subluxation. When you receive that adjustment, allow your body to relax and accept that because when your spine is in-line health is the greatest gift we can share.
Have a wonderful blessed weekend and enjoy time with loved ones.
